Frenectomy in Los Angeles with Laser Gum Dentist Periolase

Have you been told you need a Frenectomy?  Do you know it can be done with a laser?  



This video shows a Frenectomy being performed with a laser.  The laser that was used is the Periolase by Millennium Dental Technologies.  The Periolase MVP 7 is an ND:Yag Nedinium Yttrium Aluminum Garnet.  The setting that was used was 100 microseconds with 100 Hz repetition at 4 Watts average power.  The patient was anesthetized prior to this procedure with a local anesthetic.  The video shows the correct way of doing a frenectomy with a laser.  A frenectomy is a procedure to remove the frenum.  A Frenum is is a small fold of tissue that secures or restricts the motion of a mobile organ in the body.  Notice NO Bleeding occurs when the laser is used to remove the frenum.  Since no scalpels are used no sutures are needed to close the incision.  This is a bloodless procedure.  The video was filmed with a Global G6 Surgical microscope through a beem splitter connected to a Sony Nex 5 camera.

This video is a presentation of a Lanap Invisalign Veneer Before and After case report.



Patient presented with Advanced Periodontal Disease anterior cross bite, and small peg shaped lateral Incisors.  X-Rays and Periodontal evaluation were done photography was taken during the periodontal charting before the LANAP procedure.  Invisalign impressions and photography were submitted to Align Technologies.  LANAP was performed Invisalign trays were dispensed the same day as Periodontal surgery.  On finishing the Invisalign, Veneers were prepared and placed 2 veneers were prepared and delivered, new periodontal charting was done.   All treatment was done in the same office of a general dentist no treatment was done at the Orthodontist or Periodontist.  LANAP is a Periodontal procedure that reverses gum disease with the utilization of the Periolase MVP7 developed by Millennium Dental Technologies.  LANAP is always a full mouth protocol.  The Periolase is an ND:Yag laser that has 7 Multi variable Pulse durations specifically designed for the treatment of Periodontal disease.

LAPIP is a procedure for dental implants that are failing due to gum disease known as peri-implantitits.  LAPIP Laser Assisted Peri Implantitis Procedure is a laser technique utilizing the Periolase MVP7 an ND:Yag laser.  This presentation shows before and after LAPIP with before and after x-rays of dental implants that have failed with peri-implantitis.  Peri-implantitis is an infection around dental implants that is very common.  Peri-implantitis has been shown in the scientific literature to affect up to 50% of dental implants.  Dental implant infection is the primary cause of loss and failure of dental implants.  infected and failing dental implants can now be healed and reversed with the use of LAPIP laser assisted peri implant procedure.   LAPIP is economical and successful.  Cement Sepsis has been postulated in the dental literature to be a cause of infection around dental implants in this authors opinion is from periodontitis.  A video was lifted off of youtube and posted on facebook in the the group UK Dental Laser User Group.  Mark Cronshaw removed the video off of youtube and then uses derogatory comments on top  of my video with out posting the after video.  Several people like Don Coluzzi and Larry Nurin had negative comments regarding the procedure video that was lifted by Mark Cronshaw and posted without my permission on Facebook.  The video also shows why dental implants fail.  Reasons dental implants fail is that the implants get infected, screws break, abutments screws break, patient difficulty healing, not enough bone, poor quality of bone, smoking, excessive occlusal stress, hard bite, micro movement, implant flowering, abutments implant gap, FESS,  ENT exploration of dental implants inside the sinus.

Gum surgery should not be taken lightly.
This video was created to speak to dentists and periodontists regarding the alternative to gum surgery that is LANAP.  LANAP is an FDA cleared laser alternative to traditional gum surgery.  Gum disease is very common 50% of Americans have moderate to Severe Gum disease.   Gum disease is the number one cause of tooth loss.  Most people that lose their teeth loose them to gum disease.  Gum disease known as periodontitis has been linked to health problems like preterm low birth weight babies, diabetes, stroke, Cancer, Erectile Dysfunction, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and all inflammatory induced disease processes.  This video contains several periodontists talking about the laser alternative to gum disease and the science that proves that it can reverse and regenerate Early Moderate and Severe Periodontal disease.   Not all lasers can perform LANAP since the scientific studies have been done with the Periolase MVP7.  This month two systematic reviews of the literature have shown that LANAP should be considered as the first line of action in the Periodontal Regeneration.  Nice thing about the regeneration with the laser is that no scalpels are used no sutures are needed no biologics are used.  By not using bone graft materials the risk of rejection and the possible contamination with prions is not introduced. 

Dentists and periodontists should consider the old fashioned amputative scalpel Osseous Surgery is antiquated cruel and barbaric and in this authors opinion should not be done until at least LANAP has been given an opportunity to achieve some regeneration.  Traditional gum surgery can always be considered after the laser alternative has been done first.
