Frenectomy and Laser Gum Surgery on Advanced Periodontitis

http://www.lasergumdentist.com/ Patient has Advanced Periodontal disease with a frenum pull on the lower anterior teeth.  Periodontal charting is done under a surgical microscope and recoded by means of a surgical microscope a Global G6 and a beam splitter with a Sony Camera filming.  First pass of LANAP is done and a Frenectomy.  This patient had been told by her dentist and periodontist to remove all her teeth.  She looked online and found that hopeless teeth can be saved with an FDA cleared laser procedure called LANAP

  1. How bad does your Periodontitis need to be before you should consider getting gum surgery? I had no idea that gum surgery was even an option, and it seems like it would be really painful. Since you use a laser to get it done, are there side effects afterwards? http://www.millerandbounds.com

  3. My dad's Periodontitis has become quite severe. He needs to go in for surgery soon. I didn't realize that there were laser gum surgery options. I should discuss this with him and his dentist.

  4. I think that it is so amazing what they can do with lasers these days. My uncle has really bad periodontitis, and it has been causing him a lot of pain recently. I'll have to suggest to him to read this article. http://www.liperioimplants.com/laser-dentistry/lanap-laser-treatment.aspx

  5. It is strange to think that a laser is being used to clean and fix teeth. My mind tends to think of lasers with a more destructive purpose and on a larger scale. Technology makes a lot of things possible.

  6. How effective is laser gum surgery? The video shows that it is cutting out quite a bit of plaque. I think it would be nice to get that done on my teeth the only thing is, I hope they numb it before they start working. Hopefully I never have to get it done and can take care of my teeth.

  9. Would this surgery be painful? You know my family doctor dentist Manhattan Beach told me that there may be different reasons behind gum surgery. Some diseases like as gum infection & bleeding can be controlled, if treated at right time.
